A quick and flavorful Thai street food dish made with ground chicken, Thai basil, and a savory-spicy sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1-2 Thai chilies (chopped, adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 1 fried egg (optional, for serving)
  • Steamed jasmine rice (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and chilies, stir-frying until fragrant.
  2. Add ground chicken, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir-fry until no longer pink.
  3. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
  4. Toss in Thai basil leaves, stirring until wilted. Remove from heat.
  5. Serve with steamed rice and a fried egg on top.
