A quick and flavorful Thai street food dish made with ground chicken, Thai basil, and a savory-spicy sauce.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1-2 Thai chilies (chopped, adjust for spice preference)
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup Thai basil leaves
- 1 fried egg (optional, for serving)
- Steamed jasmine rice (for serving)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and chilies, stir-frying until fragrant.
- Add ground chicken, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir-fry until no longer pink.
- Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well.
- Toss in Thai basil leaves, stirring until wilted. Remove from heat.
- Serve with steamed rice and a fried egg on top.
